Community & Volunteer Sailing

Community & Volunteer Sailing

Peter is more than a classic yacht. She is a living piece of maritime history and a platform for bringing people together.

Alongside our regular community sailing sessions, we occasionally organise volunteer and charity sailings supporting local initiatives, children’s programmes, and organisations working with people with disabilities.

When the conditions allow, Peter becomes a place where sailing, learning, and giving back come together.

Why We Do This?

  • Classic yachts are breathtaking but they demand constant care. Without willing hands, they remain tied to the dock. As stewards, because no one truly owns a classic yacht we feel compelled to hoist Peter’s sails whenever crew, wind, and weather align.

  • Being aboard Peter is a privilege: 86 years of craftsmanship come alive beneath your feet, and we carry the responsibility of keeping that legacy alive.

  • We do run the occasional commercial charters to help cover upkeep, yet the soul of the project surrounding Peter is the community-driven crew that allows the yacht to sail and keeps the project alive.

What to Expect Aboard

  • Active Sailing, Not a Boat Ride – You’ll assist in docking manoeuvres, haul halyards, set and trim sails, handle lines, and even take the helm.

  • Weekly Sessions – Weather-permitting sails from Ibiza, plus spontaneous sunset runs when the forecast says go.

  • Led by Enthusiasts – Skippers with decades on classic rigs and international regatta circuits.

  • Core & Rotating Crew – A small safety nucleus plus fresh faces each week so everyone gets a turn.

  • Good-Vibe Code – Respect the ocean, pitch in, bring positive energy.

Charity & Volunteer Sailings

Charity & Volunteer Sailings

Throughout the year we organise occasional sailings dedicated to community and charity initiatives.

These may include sailing experiences for children, activities for people with disabilities, or collaborative initiatives with local organisations.

These events depend on volunteers who are willing to contribute their time, energy, and skills to make them possible.

If you would like to participate in these initiatives, you are welcome to join the community crew.
